About Us

Our Values

JESUS IS OUR MESSAGE

In our songs, in our sermons, in everything we do: it's all about Jesus. (Colossians 1:28)

WORSHIP IS OUR HEART

God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. (John 4:24)

HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR PASSION

The Holy Spirit is present and moving in our lives. The presence of God distinguishes us, comforts us, and empowers us.

(2 Corinthians 3:18)

FAITH IS OUR LIFESTYLE

We are leaning into all God has for us, honoring His Word and believing for more (2 Corinthians 5:7)

GENEROSITY IS OUR JOY

God is good and has an amazing life for everyone of us. This life does not happen by taking, it happens by generously giving. (Proverbs 11:24)

HONOR IS OUR IDENTITY

We highly value the people God has brought into our lives. We never tear people down, but lift them up by serving one another with a grateful heart. (Romans 12:10)

EXCELLENCE IS OUR SPIRIT

We are always going to do the best with what we have. We're on time, engaged and prepared. We don't do things halfway. If we're going to do it, it's to the best of our ability. (Colossians 3:23-24)

Lead Pastor Pepe & Rubina Cervantes

Pastors Pepe and Rubina Cervantes are the Senior Pastors of Lifeline Heart of Worship, located in Harlingen, Texas, faithfully leading since March 1, 2009. Together, they serve the church and community with a deep passion for reaching those seeking salvation and transformation through Jesus Christ.

Born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, Pastor Pepe served as a Pediatric Nurse for over 20 years before committing himself full-time to ministry. At the age of nine, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer—but on Good Friday in March of 84’, the Lord miraculously healed him completely. Answering the call to ministry in 2009, he has been serving ever since with unwavering faith and dedication.

Under his leadership, Lifeline Heart of Worship has witnessed countless lives transformed, many baptized in water, and thousands come to know the Lord. The church now welcomes over 3,000 in attendance and has expanded its mission globally with more than 20 international churches joining the vision.

Pastor Pepe is known for his practical, relatable teaching, and his bold, passionate leadership. He is also the author of the book PLAGUES, where he shares his powerful personal testimony of healing and hope.

He and his wife Rubina G. Cervantes are blessed with one son, Jeriel Cervantes—a true miracle—and together, all three joyfully serve in ministry. Pastor Pepe continues to lead with vision and humility, believing that only Jesus can make us whole and complete—body, mind, and soul—according to Matthew 22:37.

Our Journey

2009

Lifeline Heart of Worship began with 35 people meeting at 1:00 PM in Harlingen, Texas. Within 18 months, our congregation grew to 250, gathering in our first church building.

2011

God led us to the 1,500-seat Harlingen Municipal Auditorium, transforming us into a mobile church. For years, we faithfully set up and tore down every Sunday, adapting to new spaces.

2011 to 2024

We held services in over 11 locations across four cities, including outdoor venues, school cafeterias, event centers, and even a former bar. The year 2012 marked a turning point, testing us financially, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. With over 400 attendees, the challenges felt overwhelming, but our faith, and God’s provision, carried us through.

2024

Our congregation grew to 600, then 800, and by 2015, we surpassed 1,000 members, all for His glory. In March 2024, we stepped into our permanent home, no longer a mobile church, as God fulfilled His promise.
